In the heart of Dayton, a historic steeple stood in need of more than just a repair—it required a total restoration. Spanning four seasons and braving the extremes of a Midwest winter, the Globe Iron crew executed a surgical restoration to bring this architectural icon back to its original glory.

The "Four-Season" Restoration.

Logistical Muscle

Mobilizing a crew for high-elevation steeple work in sub-zero temperatures requires elite safety protocols and logistical discipline. We utilized specialized winter-grade rigging to ensure progress never stalled, even as the wind and ice attempted to shut down the site.

Surgical Masonry Integration

The failure points of the steeple extended beyond the roof. Our technicians performed meticulous masonry repairs to the structural stone, ensuring that the intersection between the new copper details and the original brick was monolithic and watertight.

"Friday at 5" Transparency

Given the height and complexity of the steeple, the client couldn’t easily inspect the work. Our digital reporting provided the church board with high-resolution evidence of every solder joint and stone repair, ensuring total confidence in the investment.

Project outcome

A Legacy Protected.

Today, the steeple stands tall and proud—a permanent fixture of the Dayton skyline restored for the next century. By self-performing the specialty metalwork and the masonry, we eliminated the scope gaps that often plague landmark restorations, delivering a unified, “Zero Gap” solution.
